Parmigiano Reggiano at Anuga with AFIDOP

The Consortium will be in Cologne from 7 to 11 October attending Anuga, one of the international reference meetings for food sector players.

Reggio Emilia, 4 October 2017 – Parmigiano Reggiano will be in Cologne for the Anuga Fair from 7 to 11 October, in the area dedicated to Afidop, the association that gathers and represents all Italian protected designation of origin cheeses.

Not only does this trade fair represent an important point of contact with the German market, the top importer of Parmigiano Reggiano cheese, but it also provides an opportunity to celebrate the Made-in-Italy products through Italian cuisine, with cooking shows performed by some of the top players of the Italian restaurant trade. There will be daily shows at the Afidop area from 12.00 to 15.00.

Franco Pepe, master pizza maker and owner of the “Pepe in Grani” pizzeria in Caiazzo (CE), named the best Italian pizzeria in 2017, will be representing Parmigiano Reggiano cheese and demonstrate its versatility.

He will fly to the Anuga Fair to prepare “Breakfast” pizza, with eggs, flat pancetta, cream of 18-month PDO Parmigiano Reggiano, crunchy wafers of 30-months PDO Parmigiano Reggiano and pepper.

The Consortium invites all the sector’s players to the stand G21-H20 in hall 10.1.
