2006, November 21-22 - The Parmigiano-Reggiano is presented in Taiwan
A seminar on intellectual property rights was jointly organised by the European Commission, the Taiwan Intellectual Property Office, the Council of Agriculture and the European Chamber of Commerce Taipei. The existing systems for the protection of Geographical Indications in the EU and Taiwan were presented by Taiwanese representatives, by the representative of the European Commission, DG Trade and Taxaud in Asia, and by the representatives of three leading EU GI products: Cognac, Parmigiano-Reggiano and Wisky. A specific session of the seminar was dedicated to the EU regulations and experience in the control of in-transit counterfeit and pirated goods.
