Parmigiano-Reggiano speaks Japanese

The Consortium took part in Foodex Japan held in Tokyo from 5 to 8 March 2013

Reggio Emilia, 11 March 2013 - Foodex Japan, the exhibition dedicated to the world of food and drinks, took place at the Makuhari Messe of Tokyo from 5 to 8 March 2013. The Consortium was present at the exhibition with a stand to promote the dissemination of our cheese culture and to interact with the Asian market, which is growing constantly. In particular, during the first 10 months of 2012, exports of Parmigiano Reggiano to Japan increased by 46%.

Foodex Japan 2013

The exhibition, together with the Parma Ham Consortium, offered the opportunity to meet importers and improve their knowledge on the King of cheeses, which is a way to better appreciate the characteristics that make it unique worldwide. This year Foodex Japan saw the participation of 2300 exhibitors from more than 70 countries in the world. The event was therefore an excellent occasion to meet more than 75000 experts from the sector who visited the exhibition.
