Prosciutto di Parma and Parmigiano Reggiano: excellence displayed in Harrods’ windows

In London, a truly special experience for food-lovers

7th March, 2015 - A tribute to the origins and mastery of artisan products: as part of the Stealing Beauty initiative, Prosciutto di Parma ham and Parmigiano Reggiano cheese are the stars of the Harrods' exhibition - the temple of luxury in London – displayed in its windows facing Hans Crescent.

Prosciutto di Parma and Parmigiano Reggiano will remain on display until the 28th March 2015, in the heart of the capital city of a major importer of these two products, to launch a particular message - supported by the language of art – encompassing the irreplaceable value of the lands, the local traditions and the artisans' craftsmanship in determining the unique characteristics of these PDO products. It is not by chance, therefore, that alongside some Spanish wines, these two Italian products of Excellence are associated with an eagle - considered the most beautiful creature in the animal world - that is about to steal this beauty.

To complete the exhibition, there is also a series of images relating to Parmigiano Reggiano and Prosciutto di Parma that scroll across the screens located on the fifth floor of the Harrods London flagship store, with its 7 floors and 93,000 square metres of floor space.
The choice of these two products to represent Excellence is not limited to their cultural and aesthetic features: in fact, Harrods will host a tasting day in its Food Hall. Customers will be able to taste freshly-sliced Prosciutto di Parma ham and Parmigiano Reggiano cheese, deepening their knowledge of the products and experiencing their quality first hand.
