20th Edition of Tokyo’s Cheese Festa
Consortium in Japan promoting Parmigiano-Reggiano
Tokyo, 7 November 2011 - The Parmigiano-Reggiano Consortium will be taking part in the 20th edition of Cheese Festa, to be held in Tokyo on 11 and 12 November.
In the Land of the Rising Sun, the Cheese Day represents the most important dairy event in Asia, which the Consortium has attended for no less than sixteen years.

Parmigiano-Reggiano will be presented through numerous illustrations, and, accompanied by refined wines, will be offered at guided tastings involving the public through the purchase of vouchers, whose proceeds will be given to charity; the 20,000 participants will be able to watch the cutting of a wheel of Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese, to learn this ancient technique still in use today.
In this way, the Consortium can pursue its objective of offering Japanese consumers, and especially future chefs, the opportunity to discover the organoleptic and structural features, and uses of the “King of Cheeses”, also thanks to the event’s remarkable media coverage with the presence of specialised press, and its official website.
