Reggio Emilia, 20 October 2018 - The Parmigiano Reggiano Consortium will feature at Sial, the B2B food event that will be held in Paris from 21 to 25 October. For the first time, the Consortium will attend the Paris exhibition with its own independent stand in Pavilion 7.

The biennial Exhibition attracts visitors from every corner of France and the world: the 2016 edition saw a total of 155,700 admissions, with 70% of visitors coming from no less than 194 countries outside of France. The largest delegations were those representing the Netherlands, the UK, China, Spain, Germany, Turkey and the United States. The data also reveals a very specialized public, 71% of which were operators in the retail or foodservice sector.

The Sial exhibition in Paris is all the more important considering that France is the largest export market for the King of Cheeses: in 2017, 9.800 tonnes were exported to France, an increase of +11.3 compared to 2016.

The Consortium stand in Pavilion 7, number E 151, will be as always at the disposal of all Parmigiano Reggiano PDO producers.  During the four days of the exhibition, our stand will host various meetings with buyers and retail chains as well as press and blogger events. In particular, on October 23 sommelier Vinny Mazzara will conduct a guided tasting reserved for the press with three maturation stages of Parmigiano Reggiano paired with three types of Champagne.
