Reggio Emilia, 3rd  July 2012 - Two "Maximum" chefs for a cuisine for champions. Massimo Bottura and Massimo Spigaroli, both chefs of Michelin-starred restaurants from the Parmigiano Reggiano production area, will fly to London to join the team that will cook at Casa Italia, a 6,000 square meter area in the centre of London, where the key official events linked to the Olympics will take place.

From the Osteria Francescana in Modena and the Antica Corte Pallavicina in Polesine Parmense, two chefs that do not betray the Emilia Romagna tradition. They will both propose menus with recipes using Parmigiano-Reggiano to enhance its unique taste.

Also Pier Luigi Di Diego, the chef of the Don Giovanni restaurant, will depart from Ferrara to go to London and propose our cheese in an unusual pairing: Spaghetti with garlic, oil and chilli pepper on a Parmigiano-Reggiano fondue. Furthermore, through Aicig - the Italian Association of Geographic Indications Consortiums, Parmigiano Reggiano will be one of the protagonists, along with other Italian excellences, of the "Italian Aperitif" that will be held at Casa Italia every evening from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m.. Other venue, but same product choice.  Also Chef Nicola Batavia, head of catering at the Nike VIP House, has chosen Parmigiano Reggiano cheese for his preparations. Chef in two previous Olympic events, Batavia defines his cuisine "a triumph of Made in Italy products" and ensures that there will be no alternative to the traditions of the "Beautiful Country".
